Professional highlights: Dr. Moreland is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the medical and surgical care of pediatric, adolescent, and adult skin, as well as the use of lasers. Prior to joining the Alaska Center for Dermatology in December 2005, Dr. Moreland was on active duty in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. He served as Chief of Dermatology at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska from July 2002 to September 2005.

Personal history: Dr. Moreland was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC). In his free time Dr. Moreland enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with his wife, their two children, and their black Lab.

Community/professional involvement: Dr. Moreland is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Dermatology Foundation Leaders' Society, and the Alaska State Medical Association.
