AcuPulse is one of the leading CO2 laser systems used for skin resurfacing to help improve acne scars, surgical and traumatic scars, fine lines, and deep wrinkles. It is also very effective at smoothing out textural changes on your skin caused by aging and sun exposure. You will see visible improvements to your skin immediately, and your skin will continue to improve as the effects of the treatment stimulate the production of collagen.

How Does AcuPulse work?

AcuPulse uses SuperPulse™ technology which delivers short pulses of concentrated beams of heat energy. The beams penetrate deep into your skin creating microscopic channels that trigger collagen and elastic fiber production while leaving some of the skin unaffected to help reduce healing time. This allows the skin to restructure itself into firmer, more evenly toned skin. AcuPulse has various modes that are customizable for better results. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, the procedure can take anywhere from a few minutes for a small area, or up to an hour for an entire face.

The comfort of our patients is very important at our clinic. The level of discomfort will depend on whether you are having a superficial or deep treatment. Most patients feel no discomfort when having a superficial treatment done. Deeper treatments used for scarring and deep wrinkles require a greater amount of heat and you may feel uncomfortable. Prior to your AcuPulse treatment, your Provider may apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area.

What Can You Expect After Your AcuPulse treatment?

You can expect to have some swelling and redness that typically resolves itself within the week. You may experience some itching or irritation during your downtime as your skin rejuvenates itself. Results are immediate, and you will continue to see improvement as your skin continues to renew. Most patients can go back to their normal routines after 5-7 days.
