Peter Ehrnstrom, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon with specialized training in Mohs Surgery. His training and extensive knowledge have made him the most experienced Mohs Surgeon in Anchorage and Alaska. His expertise in dermatology also includes cutaneous medicine and oncology.
Completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Dr. Ehrnstrom went on to medical school at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He completed his medical internship in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and his residency in dermatology at Yale University. He was stationed at Elmendorf AFB for nearly nine years, after which Lieutenant Colonel Ehrnstrom separated from the U.S. Air Force and opened Alaska Center for Dermatology in 2003.
Dr. Ehrnstrom is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, a Member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the Alaska State Medical Association, and the Dermatology Foundation Annenberg Society. Dr. Ehrnstrom is also qualified in telemedicine/telehealth program design.
Dr. Ehrnstrom and his wife, Thaysa, live in Anchorage with their two daughters. He is a tenor in the Anchorage Concert Chorus.
